A Physician’s vocation I have undertaken, an instrument of thy will.
The knowledge comes from you, Oh Lord, to treat and cure the ill.

Please help keep my mind focused and my hand guided true.
Let me always remember, Lord, my healing will come through you.

Help me listen, diagnose and prescribe and to recognize what am seeing.
May I always revere the living life that you brought into being.

Make me worthy, Lord, of my task of healing here on earth.
And give me the humility, when I don’t know, to be able to learn with all my worth.
